A place name without a city hall
Timberwood Park is a Census-designated place in far northern Bexar County. There is no municipal hall with that name. Some lots sit under a non-annexation story and still need City of San Antonio permit packets. Some do not. Write the address, not the marketing name on the subdivision flag.
US-281 is the spine. Lots are larger than a downtown bungalow. Services are longer. Caliche does not forgive a lazy trench. A “slab leak” on an acre can be a buried service in rock. We test before we name it.
We do not invent a shop on Borgfeld. We do not treat the private neighborhood park as a public civic site. License checks stay on TDLR.
Public landmarks we will actually name
Eisenhower Park on NW Military Highway is a City of San Antonio natural-area park we use to place the western approach to this ridge. It is not a Timberwood amenity and we do not claim park work.
Comanche Lookout Park sits southeast of the 281 corridor and is another official San Antonio park people use as a meeting reference when they live on the east side of the CDP name. Again: geography, not a contract.
If you are actually in Stone Oak or Helotes, use those pages. The CDP name gets borrowed by nearby tracts that are not the original development. Say the gate name and the city on the tax bill.
What fails on these ridges
Long private water services that leak in rock. Heaters in garages that never got flushed. Septic on the edges. Slab leaks in custom houses that were added onto twice. After a storm, clay movement tugs laterals that looked fine in July.
Gated entries and dark caliche drives change night staging. Put the gate code on the form. Mention livestock, a long driveway, and whether the well house is the source. A split hose bib at a barn can wait until daylight unless it is emptying a well. A split line in a finished house cannot.
